Consultants key as NAI rolls out new security software

Mike Dalton: significant additions to portfolio of products

Technology never stands still and the IT security market is no exception. According to Mike Dalton, senior VP for Northern Europe at security systems vendor Network Associates, the latest shift in the security marketplace puts the emphasis on prevention rather than detection.

Viruses can spread at extraordinary speeds and hackers are finding new ways to exploit security gaps in software systems. Add to this the potential threat from new devices such as 3G phones and PDAs, which offer alternative access into the enterprise, and a proactive multi-layer defence becomes even more important.
