Why mobile costs are still an issue

The cost of mobile calls has dropped so dramatically over the last few years that ROI calculations for using personal numbering to reduce enterprise mobile phone bills may no longer seem valid.

Yet for telecom managers, increasing mobile phone bills remain a serious issue. The reason? Personnel on the road set the system for calls to their mobile – as expected. But when they return to the office, the logic does not know to switch back to their local extension. The result? Every call is a mobile call even when the person is in the office, which means higher phone bills.
