Finding the missing link
Brian Whitmore describes how Capgemini finally
identified performance management software that offers the
key feature of ‘strategy management’.
Running the specialist group in Capgemini responsible for
helping clients address their performance management (PM)
needs, it progressively became apparent that there was a missing
and essential component in the technology solutions and approaches
available in the market. Even with established relationships
with many of the major vendors for BI reporting and business
performance management (BPM) solutions, something was missing.
In the summer of 2004 we encountered a specific customer
challenge and engagement that afforded the opportunity to
test this theory and evaluate whether any new solutions were
available in the marketplace.
