Why fixed mobile convergence is coming of age

Fixed mobile convergence (FMC) is the supply of communication services based on a combination of wired and wireless technologies. Theoretically, FMC became possible at the outset of the 1990s with the granting of the first licences for digital mobile communications. However, slowness in delivery of solutions has been caused not by technological hurdles, but by regulatory and commercial barriers.
